About.
Doug discovered the guitar early and has played for over 40 years. His parents knew he loved music, and gave him his first real guitar when he was eleven. Growing up in a musical family in New England, Doug listened to songwriters like John Denver and James Taylor, who motivated him to keep playing and learning. He took guitar classes in high school and started playing gigs with other music-minded friends. After high school, he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he studied music and performed in a touring group. Music then took him to Steamboat Springs Colorado, where he played solo, and joined the band Crossover performing country, rock, and original music. San Diego was the next destination, where he played with original group Big Medicine, and cover band Intrigue. His next project was Second Wind, an acoustic guitar/harmony vocal duo playing folk and seventies favorites for many years throughout San Diego. Doug now lives in Rancho Bernardo, CA and plays solo - and occasionally with his wife Sarah.
